Maplestory Review
To be able to play Maplestory, you must register and download the game first.
It is a 2D side scrolling MMORPG, also developed in Korea, like Rappelz for example.
It looks like Koreans know what they're doing because both games have a lot of members
and many positive comments can be found on the net.
Although free game receives funding through Cash Shop where various items, coupons or clothes can be purchased for real money.
Skills and items can be acquired through advancing into the game.
All new players start at the Maple Island which is the place for beginners. There you learn basics like jumping and
walking for example. Real game starts at Victoria Island.
When you achieve necessary levels you can choose to be either Magician, Thief, Warrior or Bowman.
Perion city is the city of warriors, Ellinia is the city of magicians, Henesys is the Bowman's city and finally Kerning city is the city of thieves. After Victoria Island you can go to the Orbis which is your next step. At the town of Ellinia there is a boat which will take you there.
You acquire skills and items through completing various quests and through fighting monsters.
Items can also be bought from other players or from a Cash Shop.
You can also take a break playing minigames for a change. Unknown world can be explored by yourself or within a group.
If, at any point you decide to take a break you can just build a house and live an "ordinary life".
